DPS Investigates Deadly Traffic Collision in Tempe
Tempe, AZ (June 19, 2023) – Just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, a man lost his life following an Interstate 10 pedestrian accident.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the collision happened in the westbound lanes near Broadway Road.
Traffic operations observed through ADOT cameras a man was attempting to change a tire on his vehicle and a crash happened.
Troopers immediately went to the scene and located the man dead in the HOV lane of the roadway.
Apparently, a woman and young child were also in the vehicle when the accident took place. They were not hurt in the incident.
Moreover, the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
DPS continues to investigate what led up to the deadly traffic collision in Tempe.
