Man Dies in County Road 97 Vehicle Crash [Woodland, CA]

Woodland, CA – On Thursday, a 58-year-old Woodland man suffered fatal injuries in a County Road 97 vehicle crash.

The fatal incident took place at around 3:10 p.m. south of Highway 16.

Officers said the victim was driving a Walker lawn mower northbound when the car came up behind and hit him. The victim was ejected and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the involved driver, a 34-year-old Woodland woman, also sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The police are investigating why the car didn’t slow or stop before colliding with the lawnmower. Neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the fatal incident.
