Modesto Fatal Collision Injures Woman and Child
Modesto, CA (May 28, 2021) – On Thursday, a man died and two were injured in a big rig collision on Highway 132.
The fatal crash took place minutes before 6:30 a.m. near Texas Road, wherein two semi-trucks and a sedan were involved.
Apparently, a man, a woman and a 3-year-old girl were riding inside the sedan during the accident.
Both the man and woman were were not wearing seatbelt and were thrown out of their vehicle. Unfortunately, the man died at the scene.
Furthermore, responders found the 3-year-old girl in the back seat of the sedan and was not properly restrained in a child safety seat.
Emergency responders rushed the child and the woman to the hospital.
Moreover, officers believe the sedan driver tried to pass traffic and entered the opposite lane. It prompted an oncoming big rig to veer to the right avoiding the sedan.
Afterward, the sedan then hit the rear axle of the big rig and it spun until it was struck by another big rig.
