RIO VISTA, CA (March 12, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a man died in a traffic crash on Highway 160 near Highway 12.

The incident happened at around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 160, south of Highway 12.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2010 Nissan Altima crossed the double yellow line for still unknown reasons. Then, the Nissan sideswiped a southbound 2023 Freightliner and collided with a 2017 Ford F350.

Moreover, officials confirmed that the 36-year-old male driver of the Nissan died at the scene. Also, the Ford driver sustained minor injuries and the Freight driver was not hurt in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
