1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized in Redding Vehicle Accident on Highway 44 near Bogard Rest
REDDING, CA (November 25, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a man died in a solo crash on Highway 44 near Bogard Rest.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 5:24 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 44 near the Bogard Rest Area.
Reports revealed that an eastbound white 2015 Ford truck veered off the roadway towards the south roadway edge. Then, it collided with a small tree before it struck a larger tree where it came to rest.
Moreover, responders pronounced an unrestrained passenger of the vehicle, an Oregon man, dead at the scene. Responders transported the vehicle driver, a Roseburg man, to Mercy Hospital via helicopter with major injuries.
