1 Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway and Lewis Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (October 7, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Lewis Avenue.
According to Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened at around 5:50 a.m. Moreover, it occurred at Pacific Coast Highway and Lewis Avenue.
Reports revealed that an eastbound 2009 Honda Pilot struck a male pedestrian. The incident happened as the pedestrian crossed southbound on Pacific Coast Highway, outside a marked crosswalk.
Furthermore, responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Moreover, the Honda driver, a 24-year-old Signal Hill resident remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs, alcohol, and speed played a role in the crash.
