1 Killed and 1 Injured in Buena Park Accident on Western Avenue and Auto Center Drive
BUENA PARK, CA (August 18, 2021) – Saturday night, a man died in a two-vehicle crash on Western Avenue and Auto Center Drive.
According to Sgt. Chad Weaver, the incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Western Avenue and Auto Center Drive, just north of Interstate 5.
Reports revealed that a westbound truck ran a red light and struck the driver’s side of a southbound car. Then, the truck driver fled the scene after the crash.
Furthermore, responders pronounced the male driver of the car died at the scene. Paramedics transported a female passenger of the car to a hospital with critical injuries.
Meanwhile, officials released no further details about the victims’ identity as of this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
