1 Person Killed in Monterey County Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (April 18, 2023) – On Sunday night, a man died in a tragic rollover crash on Highway 101.

The incident happened at around 10:15 p.m. on southbound Highway 101.

According to reports, a southbound vehicle lost control for still unknown reasons and rolled over. Then, a second vehicle struck the first vehicle that came to rest with its lights off.

Moreover, responders pronounced one person, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
