1 Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Willow Street and Myrtle Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (October 19, 2021) – Sunday night, a man died in a hit-and-run crash on Willow Street and Myrtle Avenue.
According to Long Beach Police Department, the accident happened at around 7:50 p.m. at Willow Street and Myrtle Avenue.
CHP reports revealed that an eastbound red sedan struck a male pedestrian who was crossing southbound outside a marked crosswalk. The sedan fled the scene after the incident.
Furthermore, responders rushed the pedestrian, a 65-year-old man, to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, officials said that it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
