1 Killed in Long Beach Accident on Artesia Boulevard and Butler Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (July 8, 2021) – Wednesday, a man died in a hit-and-run crash on Artesia Boulevard and Butler Avenue.
According to Long Beach Police Department spokesman Brandon Fahey, the crash occurred at around 3:45 a.m. Moreover, it happened on Artesia Boulevard at Butler Avenue near the Long Beach (710) Freeway overpass.
Reports revealed that a vehicle struck a man who was pushing the disabled vehicle from the rear while a female driver steered. The suspect’s vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
Furthermore, responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the female driver to a hospital with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that officers found a possible suspect vehicle in an adjacent neighborhood.
The incident is under investigation.
