HOUSTON, TX (March 8, 2023) – Monday night, a man died in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 610 and McCarty Street.
 
The incident happened at around 7:23 p.m. in the 9900 block of 610 East at the McCarty entrance.
 
According to reports, a vehicle rear-ended a westbound Toyota Corolla for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Toyota onto the shoulder. Afterward, it struck a stopped silver Hyundai, a male pedestrian helping the stopped Hyundai, and a white Dodge Ram.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the 42-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the Toyota driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Furthermore, authorities asked anyone with information about the crash to call the HPD Hit-and-Run Unit at (713) 247-4072 or the Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
