1 Killed and 4 Hurt in Sacramento County Accident on Highway 160 near Antioch Bridge
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 31, 2022) – Sunday night, a man died following a head-on crash on Highway 160 near Antioch Bridge.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 10:20 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 160 north of the Antioch Bridge.
Reports revealed that a Mazda traveling in an unsafe manner veered across the opposite lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.
Moreover, responders pronounced the Mazda driver dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed two young male passengers of the Mazda, aged 6 and 4, to Children’s Hospital in Oakland. Then, they took the other to the UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.
Also, a third passenger, a 15-year-old girl suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle sustained major injuries but was in stable condition.
Furthermore, officials believed that alcohol played a role in the crash.
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
