MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (June 29, 2022) – Monday night, a man died in a head-on crash on Highway 101 near West Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 6:26 p.m. on Highway 101, just south of the West Road exit.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound Toyota Prius veered across the center median. Then, it collided head-on with a southbound Jeep Grand Cherokee.
 
Moreover, officers confirmed that the 36-year-old man driving the Toyota died in the incident. Then, paramedics transported the female driver of the Prius to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries. Meanwhile, a passenger of the Prius sustained no injuries in the incident.
 
Furthermore, officials haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
