Man Dead in Head-On Crash on Highway 101 and Ridgewood Scale Facility [Mendocino County, CA]

1 Killed and 4 Hurt in Mendocino County Auto Accident on Highway 101 and Ridgewood Scale Facility

 
MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (September 15, 2021) – Sunday morning, a man died in a head-on crash on Highway 101 and Ridgewood Scale Facility.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 11:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 101 north of the Ridgewood Scale Facility.
 
Reports revealed that a 2000 Acura Integra veered across the double yellow lines. Then, it collided head-on with a 2009 Dodge Ram. The Dodge Ram struck a guardrail and rolled over. Meanwhile, the Acura came into rest at the southbound side of the roadway.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the Dodge driver, a 29-year-old Olivehurst woman, and her three passengers, a 9-year-old a 7, and a 4, all from Olivehurst. The woman sustained minor injuries while the three passengers sustained minor injuries. Moreover, responders took the victims to Adventist Health Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits.
 
Moreover, paramedics pronounced the Acura driver, a 29-year-old man, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
