FRESNO, CA (July 31, 2022) – Friday night, a man died and a person sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Fruit Avenue near Tenaya Way.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 9:05 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Fruit Avenue south of Tenaya Way.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound black Scion traveled on the northbound lanes. Then, it collided head-on with a northbound black Nissan Altima.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the 57-year-old male driver of the Scion, dead at the scene. Then. paramedics transported the 15-year-old driver of the Altima to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
 
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, officers closed the roadway for several hours to give way to the investigation.
