FRESNO, CA (February 8, 2022) – Monday morning, a man died in a hit-and-run crash on Belmont and Maple Avenue.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened on Belmont and Maple Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a Chevy pickup truck ran a red light. Then, the Chevy broadsided a Toyota and fled the scene on foot.
 
Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated two occupants of the Toyota trapped inside the vehicle.
 
Also, paramedics rushed the two patients, a man, and a woman, to a hospital. However, the man later died. Also, authorities said that the woman remained in critical condition.
 
Furthermore, witnesses managed to follow and point the location of the hit-and-run driver to the authorities. Meanwhile, officials arrested the 29-years-old truck driver for hit-and-run and manslaughter charges.
