Homeless Man Dead in Brutal Pedestrian Crash on South Loop and South Main Street [Houston, TX]

1 Person Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on South Loop and South Main Street

HOUSTON, TX (August 22, 2023) – Monday morning, a homeless man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on South Loop and South Main Street.

The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. on South Loop and South Main Street.

According to reports, a red or maroon pickup truck rear-ended a white SUV at a traffic light. Then, the pickup truck fled the scene in reverse, drove up a curb, and struck a homeless man who was sleeping there. Also, the pickup struck a concrete pillar and a tree before finally leaving the scene.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the victim died in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
