1 Dead and 1 Injured in Huntington Beach Crash near Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 9, 2021) – Sunday morning, a man died in a bicycle accident near Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue.
The incident occurred at around 8:50 a.m. near Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue. Huntington Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Carey confirmed that a Ford Explorer hit a man and woman on a tandem bicycle.
As a result, responders took the 74-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife to a hospital. However, the man succumbed to his injuries and his name remains undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the 2005 Explorer driver remained at the scene and helped with the police investigation. Also, the police do not believe that intoxication played a role in the crash.
