PASO ROBLES, CA (December 18, 2022) – Friday night, a man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near State Route 46.
 
The incident happened at around 8:15 a.m. on southbound Highway 101, just north of the State Route 46 off-ramp.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Elantra struck a transient man who ran across the roadway for still unknown reasons. Then, the Hyundai continued traveling and collided with Jeep Cherokee.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the 62-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene. Also, the two drivers involved in the incident were not hurt.
 
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the fatal incident remained under active investigation.
