ENCINITAS, CA (September 13, 2022) – Monday morning, a man died in a pedestrian accident on Encinitas Boulevard near El Camino Real.
 
According to sheriff’s Sgt. Rob Siegfried, the incident happened at around 6:00 a.m. Also, the collision occurred on Encinitas Boulevard just west of El Camino Real.
 
Reports revealed that a pickup truck struck a 79-year-old male pedestrian who was walking across the roadway.
 
Moreover, responders performed life-saving measures on the victim but to no avail. Then, paramedics pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.
 
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
