OAKLAND, CA (June 15, 2021) – Monday night, a man died and two people sustained injuries in a high-speed crash on San Leandro Street.

According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 7:20 p.m. at the 10100 block of San Leandro Street.

Reports revealed that an eastbound Cadillac DTS traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it collided with a westbound Toyota Camry. Debris from the crash struck a westbound Acura MDX SUV.

After the initial crash, the Cadilac collided with a cement BART track pillar on the north side of the street. Then, the force of the crash ejected its 45-year-old male driver into the road. Paramedics transported the driver to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Moreover, responders transported the 21-year-old female Toyota driver from San Leandro, and her 21-year-old Oakland male passenger, to a hospital in stable condition.

Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that no one in the Acura sustained injuries in the crash.
