Man Critically Injured in Shaw Avenue Accident [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (November 11, 2023) – A man sustained critical injuries following a Shaw Avenue accident Thursday night.

The authorities received the pedestrian accident report at about 8:15 p.m. at the intersection with Valentine Avenue.

Responding officers said the man was trying to cross the lanes of Shaw Avenue. He was walking in the crosswalk until he reached the westbound lane of Shaw. 

Witnesses said the man exited the crosswalk and walked in a diagonal direction across the westbound lanes where he was hit by a vehicle.

The involved driver stopped and provided aid to the injured pedestrian who was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Officers are still investigating the Shaw Avenue accident.
