Male Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Lowry Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 11, 2018) – A man was hospitalized Wednesday evening following a pedestrian collision on Panama Lane.
As per reports, the man was struck by a vehicle in the 700 block of Panama Lane at around 9:45 PM. The Bakersfield Police arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian suffering from major injuries. Events leading to the incident were not immediately available.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. His identity and address were not released to the public. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly unharmed and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigators.
Drugs and alcohol were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision, and no other information has been disclosed at this time.
