75-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Crash on Skyline Drive in San Diego

San Diego, CA (February 10, 2023) – Thursday evening, a 75-year-old man sustained critical injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Skyline Drive.

The three-vehicle crash in San Diego happened before 7 p.m. on February 9.

 San Diego Police said a 29-year-old woman driving a 2009 Ford pickup was going westbound on 7200 Skyline Drive in the Bay Terrances neighborhood.

On 100 Sychar Road, heading south, was a 75-year-old man operating a 2020 Toyota pickup.

The Ford driver allegedly ran a red light before striking the Toyota’s side. The Ford was impacted and moved into the 7200’s eastbound lanes.

As a result, the Lexus driver suffered minor injuries.

The 75-year-old guy suffered a collapsed lung in addition to shattered ribs and sternum. His wounds are said to be potentially fatal.

Police did not mention if the 29-year-old woman was injured or arrested.
