COVINGTON, WA (November 4, 2019) – A 54-year-old man suffered critical injuries after a suspected DUI pedestrian accident on 164h Street.
 
On November 1, the alleged drunk driver headed north on 164th Street SE just after midnight when he hit the 54-year-old man crossing the street in 26400 block, Sgt. Ryan Abbott with the King County Sheriff’s Office. The driver then crashed into an excavator and utility pole about a half-mile down the road.
 
Medical responders came to the scene and flew the injured pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Abbott added that the victim suffered a head injury, broken bones, and other internal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old male driver didn’t suffer any injury. Authorities booked him into the King County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault.
