Man Arrested after High-Speed Chase and Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 168 Fresno
Fresno, CA (May 15, 2020)– On Friday morning, police arrested an unidentified man after he led authorities on a high-speed chase from Tulare County to Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol in Fresno, they tried to pull over a driver for speeding, but the driver refused to stop. They then started to chase the driver at around 4:40 a.m. near Visalia.
Moreover, the high-speed continued up Highway 99 and merged onto Highway 41 in Fresno. Then he continued east on Highway 168 and tried to exit on the Ashlan off-ramp and lost control of the vehicle.
As a result, the suspect’s car overturned several times. He sustained minor injuries and transported to Community Regional Medical Center.
Furthermore, investigators believe he was driving under the influence of alcohol. His identity remains undisclosed.
