2 Pedestrians Fatally Struck by Car on South Watt Avenue in Rosemont
ROSEMONT, CA (December 13, 2019) – A man and a woman were killed in a pedestrian crash late Friday evening in Rosemont.
The crash happened around 11:29 p.m. on South Watt Avenue near Jackson Road.
According to the CHP, two pedestrians got out of their vehicle and were arguing in the middle of roadway. A Volkswagen traveling southbound then struck them.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene while the woman died after being taken to a local hospital. Their identities were not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the Volkswagen stopped and cooperated with officers.
Speed is not considered a factor and the area lacks crosswalks, authorities said.
