Man Airlifted after Bicycle Accident on Palmdale Road [Victorville, CA]

VICTORVILLE, CA (August 9, 2019) – A man suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident on Palmdale Road, Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 11:36 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a bicycle collided with a black four-door sedan near Borego Road.
 
Emergency responders airlifted the bicyclist to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with serious head injuries. The victim’s current condition remains unknown. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Witnesses claim that the bicyclist attempted to beat the traffic but did not make it. However, the Victorville Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
