67-Year-Old Bicyclist Hospitalized after Accident on Beyer Boulevard
OTAY MESA, CA (October 9, 2019) – A 67-year-old man suffered injuries in a bicycle accident on Beyer Boulevard, Wednesday morning.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:35 AM. The victim was riding along the 3000 block of Beyer Boulevard when a Toyota Tacoma rear-ended his bicycle.
Authorities arrived to find the man breathing but drifting in and out of consciousness. Then, emergency responders rushed the victim to a hospital with serious injuries, including a non-life-threatening brain bleed. Updates on his current condition remain unknown.
Meanwhile, the Tacoma driver, described as a 40-year-old man, remained and cooperated with investigators.
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
