Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Beach Boulevard near Blaylock Drive
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 19, 2019) – A male pedestrian died in a collision on Beach Boulevard, Friday evening. Authorities withheld the identity of the 59-year-old man, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the incident happened near Blaylock Drive, at about 10:49 PM. The victim attempted to cross Beach Boulevard outside of a crosswalk when a northbound 1999 black and purple Saturn hit him.
Emergency responders transported the victim to UCI Medical Center with major trauma. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the 52-year-old Saturn driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
