Pedestrian Struck and Seriously Injured by Car near Qualcomm Way

 
MISSION VALLEY, CA (June 15, 2019) – A 44-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian crash on Camino Del Rio North, early Saturday morning.
 
As per reports, the incident happened near Qualcomm Way, at about 5:00 AM. A 1996 Ford Explorer attempted to make a right turn when it hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk while the walk signal was on.
 
Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital with a possible skull fracture, several facial fractures, and internal injuries. Updates on the victim’s current condition remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, the 57-year-old Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash. Investigators encourage witnesses to contact them as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
