Turlock Man Dead and Hughson Woman Injured in Crash at Bradbury Road and Walnut Road
TURLOCK, CA (July 30, 2019) – A man died and a woman suffered injuries in a crash on Bradbury Road, Tuesday afternoon. Authorities withheld the identity of the deceased victim, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Walnut Road, at about 4:15 PM. A 2017 Toyota Corolla approached the intersection at a high rate of speed and did not stop for a stop sign. There, the sedan collided with a westbound 2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
The impact of the crash sent the Corolla into a wood post and metal cable before slamming into an almond tree. Emergency responders pronounced the 42-year-old Corolla driver dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the pickup driver, identified as 58-year-old Jacklyn Frost of Hughson, suffered major injuries. A ground ambulance rushed her to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal collision. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
