28-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Crash on Boyce Road near Auto Mall Parkway
FREMONT, CA (August 28, 2019) – A 28-year-old man lost his life in a bicycle crash on Boyce Road, Wednesday morning. Authorities withheld the identity of the bicyclist, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the Fremont Police Department, the incident happened at about 5:00 AM. A vehicle rear-ended a bicycle, causing the bicyclist to roll up onto the car. Then, the vehicle braked several tens of feet away from the area, throwing off the bicyclist onto the ground.
Initially, the 25-year-old driver drove off to his work after the incident. About 10 to 15 minutes later, he finally called 911 and cooperated with investigators.
