Driver Dies after Suspected DUI Crash on West Main Street
TURLOCK, CA (November 10, 2019) – A 22-year-old man lost his life in a DUI crash on West Main Street, early Sunday morning.
According to the Turlock Police Department, the incident happened at about 12:15 AM. An eastbound sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a concrete island near the intersection. There, the vehicle lost control and collided with a telephone pole.
Then, the vehicle continued moving and hit a concrete wall, causing it to overturn and land near Farr Street. The impact of the collision ejected the driver from his vehicle.
Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
