Motorcycle Collision in Douglas County Sends Man to Hospital
Douglas County, WA (July 2, 2023) – At about noon on June 30, a male motorcycle rider sustained injuries following a State Route 172 collision.
The authorities said that the motorcycle was struck by a car who was attempting to merge. Apparently, the vehicle was on southbound SR-172 approaching State Route 2. However, as the driver attempted to merge, they struck the motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike onto the eastbound lanes. Luckily, the rider was able to move to the shoulder of the road into grass.
Immediately, the medical team rushed the rider to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Officers said the cause of the accident was failure to yield for traffic from the driver in the vehicle.
