Officers Investigate South Bryant Avenue Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Tucson, AZ (December 29, 2022) – At about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, a male pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in an East 22nd Street accident.
The TPD officers and Tucson Fire Department responded to the crash scene at the intersection with South Bryant Avenue.
Reports say an unidentified adult man was hit by a red 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The paramedics rushed the victim to Banner-University Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
According to the investigators, the man was headed south across 22nd Street when the accident happened. They said he crossed mid-block and not in a crosswalk.
TPD said they do not consider impairment as a factor in the South Bryant Avenue fatal pedestrian accident.
