Police Investigate a Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Crash on San Felipe Road in Hollister

Hollister, CA (November 12, 2021) – Early Friday morning, a 49-year-old male pedestrian died in a crash on San Felipe Road.

The fatal crash in Hollister happened at around 4 a.m. on November 12 near McCloskey/Wright Road.

Hollister Police said that a man was found on the roadway with serious injuries and unresponsive when they arrived. They tried to perform CPR until the fire, and medical personnel arrived. However, when Fire personnel arrived, they declared him dead on the scene.

The driver said he didn’t see the person walking in the roadway, and he called 911 to help after the incident. 

Investigators said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
