Police Investigate a Fatal Crash on Interstate 17 in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (October 28, 2021) – A Thursday morning, a 32-year-old male pedestrian died after being hit in a crash along Interstate 17. 

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 5:25 a.m. on October 28 in the southbound lanes of traffic near Bethany Home Road.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said a pedestrian reportedly ran into traffic. Then, they collided with a tractor-trailer.

However, it is still unknown why the pedestrian ran into traffic.

No other information is immediately available.
