1 Dead in Phoenix Pedestrian Crash near 15th Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 19, 2020) – Saturday night, a male pedestrian died in an accident near 15th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
 
A vehicle struck a 54-year-old man walking across the road. The incident happened around 7:50 p.m. near 15th Avenue and Buckeye Road, Phoenix Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Ann Justus revealed.
 
According to the police, a westbound vehicle on Buckeye Road struck the man. Moreover, they confirmed that the male pedestrian didn’t use a crosswalk. Instead, he walked across the road through the mid-block.
 
As a result, the man suffered serious injuries. The medical responders transported him to a hospital where he later died.
 
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver stayed at the crash scene.
 
Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
