Police Investigate Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Poe Street in Point Loma Heights

Point Loma Heights, CA (August 25, 2022) – Thursday morning, a 56-year-old man sustained injuries in a crash on Poe Street.

The crash in Point Loma Heights happened at around 6:45 a.m. on August 25.

San Diego Police said the 2020 Jeep SUV hit the pedestrian as he was walking in the middle of the 3700 block of Poe Street, trying to round up his off-leash dog.

EMS took the man to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were serious, but non-life-threatening.

The dog also sustained injuries and was taken to the vet in unknown condition.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation is ongoing.
