San Diego Investigates Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach, CA (December 9, 2022) – Thursday night, a 66-year-old male pedestrian sustained injuries in a crash on Grand Avenue at Kendall Street.

The auto-pedestrian crash in Pacific Beach happened around 10 p.m. on December 8.

San Diego Police said the man “walked into the path of” a 2011 Toyota Camry headed east on Grand. The pedestrian sustained several injuries.

The vehicle driver, a 49-year-old man, remained at the scene.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.

No other information is immediately available at this time.
