Pedestrian Killed in a Car Accident near Airway Heights
Spokane, WA (March 3, 2020) – A male pedestrian was killed in a car crash on Highway 2 west of Flint Road near Airway Heights on March 3.
The Spokane Police Department received 2 different calls on early Tuesday morning.
The first was to inform them of someone walking around the middle of the highway. Initially, the individual could not be located.
The second call was to report the vehicle-pedestrian collision on the same highway.
As a result, the Spokane Regional Transportation Management Center (SRTMC) released an advisory through their Twitter account of the road closure in both directions at MP 280 and Flint Road, “beginning at 2:19 am on March 3, 2020 until further notice.”
The police responded to the scene and brought the victim to the nearest hospital. However, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the victim has yet to be unidentified.
Meanwhile, authorities are conducting a further investigation.
