Male Passenger Dies in Rollover Collision on State Route 62 [Twentynine Palms, CA]

Twentynine Palms, CA (August 31, 2022) – On Wednesday, a 31-year-old male passenger from Mexico sustained fatal injuries in a rollover collision on State Route 62.

The fatal collision took place at around 5:10 a.m., east of Ironage Road.

Officers say a 30-year-old woman from Chula Vista was driving her Fiat westbound on the freeway.

“Due to possible fatigue, the driver of the Fiat steered to the right, off the roadway and into the open desert where it rolled multiple times,” the CHP states.

Officers say the male passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.

Sadly, the male passenger died at the crash scene. 

The paramedics rushed the injured child and woman to a hospital.

In the meantime, the authorities are still investigating the cause of the Twentynine Palms fatal crash.
