1 Dead in Antioch Car Accident on Highway 4
ANTIOCH, CA (May 25, 2020) – Early Saturday morning, a fiery crash on Highway 4 killed a male Antioch resident, the police revealed.
The emergency responders came at the single-vehicle crash at 2:00 a.m. on eastbound Highway 4, west of Hillcrest Avenue. Upon their arrival, they located a burning Toyota Camry sedan. They also discovered that the driver was still stuck inside.
The firefighters put off the fire and extricated the driver from the car. Then, they transported the injured to UC Davis Hospital with severe burns. Unfortunately, the Antioch man died while on his way to the hospital.
Due to limited information, the crash remains under active investigation. Moreover, the authorities are trying to find out why the driver hit the highway’s concrete center divider.
