67-Year-Old Male and 70-Year-Old Female Injured, Jamie Vos Arrested in Front Street Crash
Lynden, WA (April 17, 2021) – On Thursday, a 67-year-old male and a 70-year-old female were injured while police arrested 44-year-old Jamie Vos in a DUI crash on Front Street.
The accident took place at about 6:45 p.m. at the 7th Street intersection.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they located 2 pedestrians that were struck in the crosswalk by a 2021 Tesla.
Apparently, the pedestrians were crossing Front Street when the Tesla turned onto westbound Front Street and knocked both pedestrians to the ground.
Right away, medical crews treated the two patients at the scene. One of them suffered minor injuries and was treated and released. She was transported to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center with non-fatal injuries via basic life support (BLS) protocol. The female sustained multiple fractures, abrasions, and contusions.
Vos, the Tesla driver said he stopped at the intersection and never saw the pedestrians before the accident.
Meanwhile, officers arrested and booked Vos into Whatcom County Jail by Lynden Police charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular assault.
