1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Watsonville Auto Accident on Highway 129
WATSONVILLE, CA (December 9, 2021) – Tuesday night, a 33-year-old male driver died in a speeding crash on Highway 129.
The CHP confirmed that the incident began when a speeding 1999 Lexus drove west on Highway 129. Then, the driver lost control of the vehicle until it crashed into a ditch and rolled over multiple times.
As a result, the crash ejected the two occupants from the vehicle. Both of them failed to wear their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The authorities confirmed that the 33-year-old Watsonville man died in the collision. Meanwhile, the 44-year-old female passenger sustained major injuries and went to the hospital.
Also, the authorities confirmed that alcohol and drugs played a role in the crash.
