Male Driver Injured in Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 [Cowlitz County, WA]

Cowlitz County, WA (August 24, 2024) – A 33-year-old male driver was injured following a vehicle crash on Interstate 5 Thursday afternoon.

It was about 2:20 p.m. when the two-vehicle crash happened on southbound freeway.

Troopers said a 40-year-old Aberdeen driver failed to maintain his lane and swerved into the other vehicle. 

The vehicle that was hit was occupied by four Lacey residents. 

The driver was injured and was treated at the scene. The passengers, ages 31, 15 and 6, were not hurt in the accident.

Meanwhile, the Aberdeen driver was transported to Peace Health St. John Medical Center in Longview.
