1 Dead and 2 Injured in Goldendale Car Accident
GOLDENDALE, WA (November 4, 2019) – A 20-year-old woman died while two others sustained injuries in a car accident on Glenwood Highway.
Makayla Braswell died in a car accident on November 2. WSP also added that 25-year-old Charles Mesecher drove an Accura. Meanwhile, Makayla Braswell and 22-year-old Rafael Alfaro also occupied the Accura.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported Saturday that Makayla Braswell, 20, of Goldendale was killed Saturday in a car crash. As Mesecher traveled east on Glenwood Highway, 13 miles west of Goldendale at milepost 21, the Acura went off the road onto the eastbound shoulder. The vehicle then hit the guardrail and a tree before it stopped in a shoulder.
Mesecher suffered injuries but didn’t require hospitalization. Meanwhile, responders Life Flighted Alfaro to Legacy Emmanuel but later released.
Charles Mesecher is facing charges of vehicular homicide. The WSP also confirmed that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
