Major Injuries Sustained in Rollover Crash on 580 Freeway [Tracy, CA]

Van Overturns in Collision near Mountain House Parkway

 
TRACY, CA (April 15, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained following a rollover crash on westbound 580 Freeway, Monday morning.
 
According to reports, the collision took place at approximately 7:58 AM. First responders arrived just east of Mountain House Parkway soon after.
 
Officers immediately located a brown van near the right shoulder of the highway. The vehicle allegedly overturned multiple times due to the impact of the crash. The accident began when a gray Ford Fusion abruptly crossed from the eastbound to the westbound lanes for unknown reasons.
 
One person was pinned inside one of the trucks upon paramedics arrival. The injured victim was then extricated and airlifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
 
Furthermore, clearing and cleaning operations eventually took place in the area. The cause of the accident has also not yet been determined. It still currently remains under investigation at this time.
