Multiple Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision near California Street
CALIMESA, CA (August 27, 2018) – Major injuries were sustained Monday afternoon in a multiple-vehicle crash on westbound 10 Freeway.
A report from the California Highway Patrol showed that the pile-up happened at approximately 2:23 PM, just west of California Street. CHP officers recovered a red Chevrolet Spark that was overturned on its side, off the freeway lanes. It reportedly collided with two unidentified vehicles; however, the events leading up to the collision are unknown at this time.
Responding medics recorded major injuries sustained by the involved motorists. Details about the victims’ conditions or if they were hospitalized, were not yet released.
The California Street on-ramp to the westbound 10 Freeway was closed while towing operations and a preliminary investigation was performed in the area. An investigation is ongoing to determine the main cause of the multiple-vehicle incident. No further details have been provided to the public.
